Qualifications

• Minimum: Associate's Degree in Nursing (RN) required; Bachelor’s preferred.
• 2+ years of clinical nursing experience; infection prevention experience preferred.
• Current Kansas RN license and BLS certification.
• Knowledge of CMS/CDC/APIC guidelines and NHSN definitions.
• Proficiency with EHR and data collection tools.
• Strong communication and interdepartmental collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as designated Infection Preventionist for the health system and oversee the program.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate the infection prevention and control program.
• Ensure compliance with CMS, CDC, APIC, OSHA, and state requirements.
• Maintain NHSN enrollment, data submission, and reporting accuracy.
• Collaborate with medical staff, nursing leadership, pharmacy, lab and enviro services.
• Support antibiotic stewardship and utilization review activities.
