Job summary

Life Care Centers of America is seeking a Registered Nurse Infection Preventionist to oversee infection prevention and control in a long-term care setting in Georgia. The role focuses on Healthcare Acquired Infections (HAI) and Community Acquired Infections (CAI), data collection, analysis, and action recommendations.

Qualifications

• Nursing diploma (associate's or bachelor's degree in nursing).
• Active RN license in good standing.
• CPR certification at hire or during orientation.
• Specialized IPC training beyond initial professional training or education.

Responsibilities

• Monitor public health advisories from CDC and other agencies.
• Serve as onsite IPC for COVID-19 prevention and response.
• Develop and lead the Antibiotic Stewardship Program.
• Educate staff, residents, and families on infection prevention.
• Maintain knowledge of infection control trends and practices.
