Job summary

Life Care Centers of America seeks an RN Infection Preventionist to evaluate infection outcomes and ensure safety across the facility. You will collect, analyze, and present HAI/CAI data, train staff and families, and serve as the IPC resource for all departments.

Strong emphasis on antibiotic stewardship and regulatory compliance is required. You must hold an active RN license, nursing diploma, CPR certification, and specialized IPC training.

Qualifications

• RN license is active and in good standing.
• CPR certification required on hire and maintained.
• Specialized IPC training beyond basic nursing education.
• Geriatrics experience preferred.
• Certifications per state requirements (e.g., TB Nurse) may be required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and evaluate infection prevention practices and HCAC/CAI data.
• Serve as on-site infection preventionist for COVID-19 prevention and response.
• Develop and advocate antibiotic stewardship initiatives.
• Educate staff, residents, and families on infection prevention measures.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and Life Care standards.
• Maintain awareness of current infection control trends and guidelines.
• Maintain confidentiality and follow company policies and code of conduct.
