Life Care Centers of America is seeking an RN Infection Preventionist to evaluate resident care quality related to healthcare- and community-acquired infections. You will collect, prepare and analyze HAI data, present findings, and recommend actions.

You will educate staff, residents, and families while coordinating with all departments. You will monitor public health advisories, lead COVID-19 prevention efforts on-site, and ensure compliance with regulations.

Qualifications

Nursing diploma or higher is required.
Active RN license in the relevant state.
CPR certification must be current (hire or orientation).
Specialized IPC training beyond initial education is required.
Geriatrics experience preferred.
State requirements certifications (e.g., Certified TB Nurse) may be required.

Responsabilités

Monitor and interpret Public Health Advisories from local, state, and federal agencies including the CDC.
Serve as on-site IPC for COVID-19 prevention and response per CDC guidance.
Work on-site at the facility and not as an off-site consultant.
Develop and oversee the Antibiotic Stewardship Program.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of infection control trends and employee health practices.
Perform duties within license scope and make independent decisions when warranted.
Adhere to Infection Prevention and Control policies and Life Care standards.
