Job summary

Life Care Centers of America is seeking a Registered Nurse Infection Preventionist to lead infection prevention and control across the facility. You will collect, analyze, and present HAI/CAI data, educate staff and families, and ensure compliance with CDC and state guidelines.

You will monitor adherence to infection control practices, coordinate antibiotic stewardship, and serve as a resource to all departments while staying current with evolving public health advisories.

Qualifications

• Nursing diploma (associate's or bachelor's) required.
• Active RN license in good standing.
• CPR certification at hire or during orientation.
• Specialized IPC training prior to role.
• Prior geriatrics experience preferred.
• State-specific IPC certifications as required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor public health advisories from local, state, and federal agencies including CDC.
• Serve as on-site IPC for COVID-19 prevention and response.
• Work onsite at the facility; not off-site.
• Develop and manage Antibiotic Stewardship Program.
• Maintain knowledge of infection control trends and practices.
• Perform duties within license scope and make independent decisions.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and confidentiality.
• Maintain professional relationships and comply with Code of Conduct.
