Job summary

University Health & Rehabilitation Center in Durham, NC is seeking a qualified candidate for the Staff Development Coordinator / Infection Preventionist - Registered Nurse role. The SDC conducts orientation, ongoing training, and in-service education for all staff and leads the center's Infection Prevention and Control Program in alignment with CDC, CMS, OSHA guidelines.

• Active RN license in North Carolina preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and coordinate the Infection Prevention and Control Program.
• Conduct compliance audits; provide supervision and training.
• Coordinate and manage vaccine programs for patients and employees.
• Perform infection control rounds and record findings.
• Collect and analyze infection surveillance data for patients and staff.
• Ensure transmission-based precautions are implemented and communicated.
