Job summary

Abrazo West Campus is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide professional nursing care on an assigned unit. You will coordinate care planning with other disciplines and supervise staff, delivering patient-centered care based on the nursing process.

The role requires maintaining high standards of safety and effectiveness, participating in hourly rounding, and occasionally serving as shift supervisor. Relevant licenses/certifications are required and professional development is encouraged.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree from an accredited nursing school.
• L&D-specific requirement: Advanced Fetal Monitoring or obtain within six months of hire.
• Arizona RN license in good standing with CPR; ACLS where applicable by department.
• ER/ICU/Endoscopy/Tele/Cardiac Cath/L&D: ACLS required on orientation.
• PALS or ENPC required or within ninety days for ER.
• NRP required for Post-partum, Nursery, L&D.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients’ physical, psychosocial, spiritual, educational, cultural, safety/risk and discharge planning needs on admission and ongoing.
• Determine nursing diagnoses based on assessment data.
• Set patient-specific outcome goals and guide patient and family toward goals.
• Individualize plan of care based on patient needs and circumstances.
• Implement nursing and medical orders and ensure appropriateness to current status.
• Perform other tasks assigned at the hospital.
