Job summary

Sentara CarePlex Hospital in Hampton, VA, is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Intermediate Care/Stepdown Unit. You will provide clinical leadership, lead safety and quality initiatives, and mentor staff while focusing on patient care in a fast-paced setting.

The role requires an RN license (Virginia or Compact), ACLS/PALS or ENPC within one year, and BLS within 90 days. BSN preferred; 18 months of nursing experience is expected.

Qualifications

• Virginia or Compact multi-state RN license in good standing.
• ACLS & PALS or ENPC within one year of hire; BLS within 90 days.
• 18 months nursing experience required; BSN required; Masters preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead care on the Intermediate Care/Stepdown Unit and provide clinical leadership for nursing care.
• Partner with department manager to lead safety and quality initiatives and streamline workflow.
• Mentor staff, participate in shared governance, and promote gold-standard customer service.
