Job summary

Sentara Healthcare Inc is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse for the Intermediate Care/Stepdown Unit at Sentara Careplex Hospital in Hampton, Virginia. The RN Unit Coordinator will lead nursing care delivery, focusing on safety and quality initiatives while improving staff and customer service satisfaction. Candidates must have a valid RN license, preferably a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, with 18 months of required nursing experience. Relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Virginia or Compact Multi-state RN license in good standing.
• ACLS & PALS or ENPC credentials required within one year of hiring.
• BLS must be obtained within 90 days of hiring.

Sentara Careplex Hospital is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Intermediate Care/Stepdown Unit.

The RN unit Coordinator demonstrates proficiency in nursing practice for the assigned specialty area and provides clinical leadership for the delivery of nursing care in a department. Under the direction of the department manager leads safety and quality initiatives, focuses on and simplifies workflow, and contributes to the development of staff. Increase staff satisfaction and promotes excellent (Gold Standard) customer service.

Position Available

• Full time, 36 hours per week
• Day Shift

Education

• RN-Bachelor’s Degree
• RN-Master’s Degree

Certification/Licensure

• Virginia or Compact Multi-state RN (Registered Nurse) license in good standing.
• ACLS & PALS or ENPC within one (1) year of hire
• BLS within 90 days of hire

Experience

• Experienced RN
• 18 months nursing experience required. BSN required; Master degree preferred, if the graduate degree is not in nursing then the BSN is required.
