Job summary

Valley Health is seeking a Registered Nurse II for the Surgical Telemetry Step-Down unit. You will manage nursing care using the nursing process, coordinate care with the team, and lead patient teaching and safety initiatives.

A valid RN license, BLS, and unit-specific competencies are required with progression through the Practice Ladder as applicable. Experience and licensure details align with Virginia/West Virginia regulations.

Qualifications

• RN license required.
• Education: RN Diploma/ASN/ADN required; BSN preferred.
• Minimum RN hours: 1872 FT/PT (936 with BSN).
• BLS Certification (AHA Healthcare Provider) required.
• For Labor and Delivery, ACLS or EKG and Pharmacology training within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, outcomes, planning, evaluation, documentation, and time management.
• Lead, coordinate, and participate in patient teaching, quality and safety initiatives.
• Direct and coordinate care with health team members and maintain professional standards.
