Job summary

Valley Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse II for the MED TELEMETRY STEP-DOWN unit. The RN will perform the full nursing process, coordinate patient teaching, and collaborate with the health team to ensure high-quality care.

Requirements include an RN license valid in Virginia/West Virginia, BLS certification, and 1872 hours RN experience (936 hours if BSN held). BSN preferred; leadership opportunities exist through the Professional Practice Ladder.

Qualifications

• RN license required; eligible to practice in Virginia and/or West Virginia.
• BLS (AHA Healthcare Provider) certification required; new hires need AHA certification prior to orientation.
• Advancement to RN II requires 1872 hours (936 with BSN) of RN experience and performance evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Carry out nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation and documentation.
• Coordinate patient teaching, quality and safety initiatives; lead team members and communicate with leadership.
• Provide care using standard nursing practices, maintain professionalism and timely patient care.
