Western State Hospital in Staunton, VA is seeking an RN-II Shift Supervisor for the 2 Hickory unit (1st shift, 7:00 am – 7:30 pm). The role focuses on delivering high-quality psychiatric nursing care within a 24/7 facility and coordinating with an interdisciplinary team to ensure a safe, therapeutic environment for adult patients.

The position requires an active Virginia RN license with psych-nurse experience, ability to supervise staff, and readiness to work overtime during emergencies; the

Competenze

• Must hold a current RN license eligible in Virginia.
• Psych nursing experience required.
• Ability to delegate and supervise nursing staff; effective written, verbal and sign communication.
• Ability to participate in interdisciplinary team; assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care.
• Willingness to work overtime during staffing emergencies and potentially long shifts.
