Responsibilities

• Supervisory coverage of the Nursing Department, other patient care areas, and the hospital in general after office hours i.e. evening and night shifts and on the weekends.
• AOD serves as a resource to staff for solving clinical problems and assists staff in efficiently utilizing staffing resources to meet patient care requirements.
• Report and provide documentation and communication of incidents on the shift to the appropriate manager and director.
• Respond to emergencies (Behavioral and Medical) and assist as necessary.
• Act as a resource, interpret, and ensure adherence to Western State Hospital and nursing policies and Procedures.
