Job summary

Origin Travel Nurses is seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week contract in Georgia. The role involves caring for ICU, CCU, PCU patients, ventilator management, IV drips, and Cerner EMR documentation.

You will work 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM with floating responsibilities; weekend shifts every other week. Requires at least 2 years ICU experience, BLS and ACLS, and proficiency with ventilators and Cerner EMR.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years ICU nursing experience required.
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory.
  • Experience with ventilator management and IV drips essential.
  • Familiarity with Cerner EMR system required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide care to ICU/CCU/PCU patients with nurse ratios as specified.
  • Administer medications and monitor vitals and responses.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on care plans.

Job Description

An experienced ICU Registered Nurse is needed to provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic critical care environment. Responsibilities include managing patients on mechanical ventilation, administering medication via IV drips, and utilizing the Cerner EMR system for documentation and patient tracking.

Responsibilities
  • Provide care to patients in the ICU, CCU, and PCU settings, with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 2-3:1 in ICU/CCU and 4:1 in PCU.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed while monitoring patient responses and vital signs.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create and implement individualized patient care plans.
  • Assist with procedures and monitor equipment such as ventilators and IV drips.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain high standards of patient care.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
  • Minimum of 2 years of ICU nursing experience required.
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory.
  • Experience with ventilator management and IV drips is essential.
  • Familiarity with Cerner EMR system is required.
