Job summary

Origin Travel Nurses is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the night shift in Beachwood, Ohio. The ideal candidate will deliver high-quality nursing care, promote patient safety, and communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team.

Responsibilities include conducting timely assessments, developing care plans, documenting care, and participating in discharge planning. Certifications in BLS and ACLS are required, with a minimum of two years bedside experience.

Qualifications

  • BLS certification required prior to the first shift.
  • ACLS certification required prior to the first shift (CIRH only).
  • Minimum two (2) years of bedside clinical experience is required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform nursing assessments within 8 hours of admission and develop an individualized care plan.
  • Identify patient teaching needs and goals with patients and families.
  • Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately.
  • Provide direct patient care within the nursing process during rehab.
  • Initiate discharge planning and educate patients at admission.
  • Communicate changes in patient status to physicians and charge nurses.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) will embody the core values of our organization, emphasizing patient and employee safety. The successful candidate will deliver superior quality nursing care, promote a safe work environment, and engage in effective communication with patients, families, and the healthcare team.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct a nursing assessment of all patients within 8 hours of admission, forming an individualized plan of care.
  • Identify teaching needs and goals related to patient diagnoses by collaborating with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team.
  • Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the medical record accurately and timely.
  • Participate in the patient rehabilitation program, providing direct patient care utilizing the nursing process.
  • Initiate discharge planning and patient education on the day of admission.
  • Communicate changes in patient status to the attending physician and charge nurse to support continuity of care.
  • Supervise and direct ancillary nursing personnel, delegating tasks appropriately.
  • Assist in maintaining a positive and efficient work environment through team building activities.
  • Assume charge responsibilities as requested, ensuring effective patient care delivery.
  • Pursue professional growth through continuing education and self-study.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

Schedule

This position involves a night shift, working 3 shifts of 12 hours each.
