Job summary

ARMStaffing is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Inpatient Rehabilitation on the night shift in Natrona Heights, PA. This 13-week contract requires BLS and ACLS before the first shift, and at least two years of bedside nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission and develop individualized care plans.
• Identify teaching needs and collaborate with patients and the interdisciplinary team.
• Participate in patient rehabilitation programs and provide direct patient care through the nursing process.
• Manage the documentation of assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and timely.
• Initiate discharge planning from the day of admission and conduct patient teaching for effective transition.
• Communicate significant changes in patient status to ensure continuity of care.
• Supervise and train ancillary nursing personnel, fostering a safe and effective work environment.
• Assume charge responsibility as needed and contribute to team building within the unit.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) plays a crucial role in maintaining quality care by following the nursing care plan and supervising Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and orientees. The RN will focus on establishing a safe environment for patients and employees, promoting safety awareness in various areas, including patient handling, infection control, and the work environment.
