Job summary

ARMStaffing is seeking a Registered Nurse for Inpatient Rehabilitation in Dallas, TX. This 13-week contract role requires a night shift schedule with 3 shifts per week, focusing on safe, evidence-based patient care and rehab program participation.

You will assess, plan, and provide direct nursing care, supervise licensed staff, and start discharge planning from day one. A strong emphasis on patient safety and teamwork is expected.

Qualifications

• Two years bedside clinical experience required.
• Valid RN license to practice in Texas.
• BLS certification required prior to the first shift.
• ACLS certification required prior to the first shift (only for CIRH).

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments within 8 hours of admission and create care plans.
• Identify teaching needs with patient, family, and team.
• Provide direct patient care and supervise related staff.
• Initiate discharge planning from admission and start patient teaching early.
• Communicate status changes to the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care.
• Supervise and train ancillary nursing personnel and delegate tasks as needed.
• Maintain a safe environment by following safety policies and reporting hazards.
• Participate in team-building activities to promote a positive workplace.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) will ensure the delivery of quality patient care by adhering to nursing care plans and supervising Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees. This role emphasizes a strong commitment to patient and employee safety and is aligned with the core values of Select Medical.

Responsibilities

• Conduct nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission, forming individualized care plans.
• Identify teaching needs related to each patient's diagnosis in collaboration with the patient, family, and interdisciplinary team.
• Participate actively in the patient rehabilitation program and provide direct patient care, utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Initiate discharge planning from the day of admission and begin patient teaching ahead of discharge.
• Effectively communicate changes in patient status to the healthcare team to maintain continuity of care.
• Supervise and train ancillary nursing personnel; delegate tasks appropriately.
• Foster a safe environment by adhering to safety policies and promptly reporting hazards.
• Participate in team-building activities to promote a positive workplace atmosphere.

Required Experience

• Minimum two (2) years of bedside clinical experience required.

Certifications/Licensure

• BLS Certification required prior to the first shift.
• ACLS required prior to the first shift (only for CIRH).
