Cynet HealthStaff is seeking an experienced RN for ICU to support a 13-week assignment on the day shift. Must have 2+ years in ICU, valid RN license, and relevant certifications (BLS, ACLS, NIHSS).

The role involves vent management, telemetry, invasive lines, and critical care monitoring in a 16-bed ICU setting. Travel nurses float to support the unit as needed, with a 1:2 critical care ratio and 1:3 intermediate ratio.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in nursing or BSN is required or preferred.
• Minimum 2 years ICU nursing experience.
• Licensure: valid RN license to practice in Ohio.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS as listed.
• Must pass online EKG competency assessment prior to start.

Responsibilities

• Manage ventilated patients and reading dysrhythmias.
• Provide nursing care with patient ratios per unit policy.
• Float between critical care and intermediate units as needed.
• Perform IV insertions, central line care, and med administration.
• Read and interpret ECG strips and monitor neuro and respiratory status.

Description:Targeted patient ratios are 1:2 for Critical Care and 1:3 for Intermediate level patients on unit.Traveler will be first to float at the organization's discretion.Agency will float in and out of specialty clusters.Traveler will be assigned to a medically appropriate assignment or support the nursing care team of the unit floated to, including high-risk respiratory unit and COVID.Traveler must be available to work every other weekend and holiday.Reserves the right to cancel shifts due to low census during the contract.Reserves the right to cancel the agreement with two weeks' notice without fee or fine.Travelers are not eligible for employee incentives.The unit has a 16-bed ICU unit within a 310-bed hospital.Designated Neuro Unit for Ischemic strokes receiving TPA.COVID positive patients may be admitted.Unit provides CRRT, 24-hour EEG, and hypothermia treatment post cardiac arrest.Prone patients may be cared for in the unit.Facility provides Family Centered Care and does not restrict visiting hours.Customer service is a top priority.Daily census includes 24 patients with diverse patient age groups: adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.Number of beds in the unit is 26.Special procedures include cardiac surgeries, open heart surgeries, and thoracotomy.Interdisciplinary support available includes IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation.Common patient diagnoses include diabetes, respiratory illness, uncontrolled blood pressure, dialysis needs, hemodynamic instability, electrolyte imbalances, and infections.Special equipment may include balloon pumps, ventilators, lift equipment, and CRRT machines.Clinical skills required include ventilator management, management of dysrhythmias, administration of blood products, central line care, and procedural sedation administration.Candidate must be comfortable floating based on the job description with no restrictions or special requests.Charting experience with a specific charting system is required.All applicants encouraged to apply who meet the qualifications listed.
