Job summary

Cynet HealthStaff is seeking an ICU RN for a 20-week travel assignment in a neuro-focused ICU. This night shift role requires 2-3 years of clinical experience, and candidates must hold a current RN license with ACLS and BLS certifications. NIH Stroke Scale is desirable.

Travel experience and willingness to work major holidays are expected. Responsibilities include direct patient care for neuro patients, with focus on ICU monitoring, equipment use, and collaboration with the multidisciplinary

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of clinical experience required.

• ACLS and BLS certifications required; NIH Stroke Scale certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to neuro ICU patients, including surgical and medical cases.
• Monitor vital signs; utilize glucometers, SCDs, bladder scanners, and IV pumps.
• Handle alarms, chart care, and adhere to infection control and safety protocols.
• May have charge responsibilities and participate in holiday coverage.

Must-Have:

• Prior travel experience is required for all positions.
• Charge responsibility may be required, and the RN will receive the appropriate pay differential and training.
• Traveler must work at least one major holiday (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and/or New Years Day).
• Expected 2-3 weekends per month per unit need.
• Teaching hospital experience preferred.
• COVID and flu vaccination or declination required.
• Travelers float first.

Description:This position involves providing care to patients with neuro diagnoses, including both surgical and medical cases.Vital signs equipment, glucometers, SCDs, bladder scanners, vein finders, remote tele capabilities, wound vacs, IV pumps, pulse oximeters, chest tubes, tube feeding pumps, and oxygen delivery devices are utilized.All team members, including travelers, are expected to contribute to a culture of support, particularly when interacting with students and new hires.Candidates should be prepared for potential cancellations due to census.
