Description:This position is for a Critical Care Float Nurse.The schedule is three 12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30.The nurse will float between various units based on departmental needs.The patient diagnoses include ARDS, COPD, STEMI, NSTEMI, DKA, AKIs, UTIs, and Acute Shock.Special procedures may include Cath Lab, TR Bands, Sheath Pulls, EEGs, Cardioversion, and Stress Tests.Nurses must manage and care for ventilated patients and administer blood products.The unit uses various equipment like ventilators, Arctic Sun, and balloon pumps.The expected patient ratios are 1:2 in ICU and 1:4 in other areas.Candidates are expected to perform a range of essential skills and procedures relevant to critical care.
