Job summary

Cynet HealthStaff in New York is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for an ICU travel assignment. This 13-week contract requires night shifts with 12-hour hours and a current RN license with BLS and ACLS certifications.

The role involves assessing and planning patient care, educating families, administering medications, and participating in governance and professional development. Strong collaboration, communication, judgment and critical thinking are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Experience with intensive cardiac patients (CHF, COPD, end stage heart failure, cardiogenic shock, septic shock, GI bleeds, CRRT, IABP, Impella, and normothermia).
• Experience with stroke patients, thrombectomy, and TNK.
• A graduate of an accredited school of Nursing is required.
• Current Registered Nurse License; BLS, ACLS Certifications preferred

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, delegate, coordinate, implement, and evaluate nursing care for a group of patients.
• Educate patients and families in health promotion and disease management using available resources.
• Utilize pharmacology knowledge to safely administer medications.
• Engage in supportive governance and professional development; participate in process improvements.
• May perform duties as Charge Nurse or Shift Coordinator when assigned.
