Job summary

Cynet HealthStaff is seeking an RN for the ICU to work on a 13-week assignment with a 18:00–06:30 shift. The unit cares for neuro, trauma, and medical ICU patients with 17 beds and variable patient ratios. Must have ACLS/NIH certifications, and strong critical care experience.

Candidates will be evaluated on cardiac rhythm knowledge and testing, plus ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. This position replaces a vacant role.

Qualifications

• RN with 3 years minimum ICU experience.
• RN License required.
• NIH certification and ACLS certification preferred.
• Critical care experience with high responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for neuro, trauma and medical ICU patients.
• Manage patient ratios based on acuity and availability of equipment.
• Operate ICU equipment including ventilators and IV pumps; document in Epic.

Description

The unit provides care for neuro, trauma, and medical ICU patients. There are 17 beds available on the unit. Patient ratios range from 1:1 to 1:4 depending on acuity adaptability. Required equipment includes ventilators, IV pumps, CRRT, Bipap, ekos, and chest tubes. The electronic medical record system used is Epic. Candidates must have experience in step down or progressive care. Persons with a suitable personality should be hard working, punctual, reliable, and outgoing. Scrub color is navy blue, and certain attire restrictions apply. Candidates will be required to complete multiple CBT modules as assigned by staff education. This position is a replacement for a vacant position.
