Responsibilities

• Participates, observes and supports staff for patient-related clinical problems.
• Collaborates with physicians to ensure optimal patient care and resource utilization.
• Acts as a patient advocate by addressing patient and visitor concerns.
• Initiates investigation of patient incidents and medication errors with proper documentation.
• Interacts with staff regarding patient systems and liaises with managers to ensure quality care.
• Assists with admissions, transfers and discharges to facilitate timely processes.
• Responds to public relations issues and directs inquiries to appropriate channels.
• Ensures compliance with regulatory standards.
• Intervenes during safety or patient safety incidents as needed.
• Performs patient positioning and transporting duties with proper technique.
• Demonstrates age-appropriate care and growth/development considerations.
