Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active RN license (multi-state compact and/or single-state) with privileges in the state(s) served.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Typically requires 1 year of experience in clinical nursing.

Responsibilities

• Engages in councils, governance, and quality initiatives to improve care processes and apply evidence-based practices.
• Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate care, engaging patients and families.
• Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans, and collaborates with the care team to influence outcomes.
• Upholds a culture of safety and maintains accurate, timely EHR documentation.
• May administer medications and therapies according to clinical protocols.
• Demonstrates effective communication, teamwork, and appropriate delegation.
• Pursues professional development and maintains certifications.
• Adheres to ANA Code of Ethics and ethical decision-making across care teams.
• May delegate to RNs, LPNs, and unlicensed assistive personnel as needed.
• May float to other units to meet patient care needs.
• Provide age-appropriate care following department policies.
