Qualifications

• Current and valid license as a Registered Nurse.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• One (1) year prior experience as a Supervisor preferred.
• Minimum of three (3) years acute care nursing experience
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Responsibilities

• Assumes administrative responsibility for management of all department service functions on shift.
• Makes frequent rounds to monitor delivery of care and oversee service quality.
• Directly supervises, provides support to and communicates with staff hospital-wide.
• In the absence of Hospital Administrative staff, extends scope to all services.
• Ensures efficient operations and patient flow throughout the hospital.
• Performs direct patient care only as needed within scope and competence.
• Assists scheduling after hour procedures and standby call staff.
• Enhances patient/family experience through explanations of hospital policies.
