Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center is hiring an RN House Supervisor for the Texas Behavioral Health Center in Dallas. The role supports staffing, leadership, and clinical operations on 12-hour night shifts, with emphasis on safe, efficient patient care across the hospital.

Ideal candidates will have a BSN, 3–5 years RN experience, Texas RN license, BLS, CPI training within 30 days, and prefer prior charge nurse exposure.

Qualifications

• BSN required; Texas RN license on hire.
• 3–5 years RN experience; charge nurse preferred.
• Texas RN license, BLS, CPI training within 30 days; NLC eligibility included.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and liaison between hospital leadership and nursing units.
• Prepare hospital shift reports, staffing data, and census; participate in Staffing Effectiveness Committee.
• Participate in selection, education, and implementation of an electronic scheduling system.
• Supervise all aspects of nursing care; resolve staffing issues and manage temporary labor needs.
• Coordinate staffing with patient care areas and adjust to census and acuity changes.
• Respond to emergencies (Code Blue, Rapid Response, Code Rush) and ensure safety of patients and staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
