Job summary

Parkwood Behavioral Health System in Desoto County, Mississippi, is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse House Supervisor for part-time night shifts (12 hours, 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., Friday and Saturday).

The RN House Supervisor will oversee nursing care on a designated unit, supervising professional and support staff to ensure quality patient care while maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment. A BSN is preferred and MS RN licensure with CPR/BLS is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited program of professional nursing required; BSN preferred.
• One year of supervisory experience preferred.
• Licensure and registration by the Mississippi Board of Nursing as a Registered Nurse, or multi-state license as approved by NCSBN.
• Current CPR or BLS certification.
• Must possess knowledge of general and psychiatric nursing processes, therapeutic relationships and processes, age-specific growth and development, limit setting, crisis and behavior management and CPR training.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the delivery of nursing care provided by professional and support nursing staff on a designated unit.
• Oversee patient care activities and ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to maintain quality and safety on night shifts.
• Provide leadership and guidance during the 12-hour night shifts (7:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.).
