Qualifications

• Current and valid license as a Registered Nurse.
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• One year prior experience as a supervisor preferred.
• Three years of acute psychiatric care experience preferred; medical/surgical acute care experience in addition, preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• The House Supervisor is a Registered Nurse who assumes administrative responsibility for the management of all department service functions on his/her shift.
• Directly supervises staff, monitors the delivery of care, and directs patient care activities as needed.
• Assists with scheduling after hour procedures and standby call staff as required.
• Ensures efficient operations and patient flow throughout the hospital while adhering to policy.
• Enhances the patient/family experience through supportive interactions and explanations of hospital policies.
