Job summary

Universal Health Services, Southeast Behavioral Hospital in Missouri, seeks a House Supervisor (RN) to ensure coordinated patient care in line with established standards and hospital policy. You will supervise nursing staff and patient care during shifts and collaborate with Intake/Admissions for admissions, discharges and transfers.

Education and licensure requirements include MO state licensure, with a preference for a Bachelor's in Nursing and crisis intervention training.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing required or equivalent combination of education and experience in psychiatric nursing management; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Experience: A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a psychiatric health-care facility preferred.
• Licensure: Currently licensed to practice in the state of Missouri.
• Additional Requirements: Thorough knowledge of TJC, HCFA, OSHA requirements; CPR certification and crisis intervention training within 30 days of employment, prior to assisting in restraining procedures.

Responsibilities

• The House Supervisor (RN) is responsible for ensuring coordinated delivery of patient care in accordance with established standards of care, mental health practice and hospital policy.
• Provides direct supervision of the nursing staff, patients and patient care during their shift.
• Works closely with Intake and Admissions regarding patient admissions, discharges and transfers during the shift.
