Job summary

Parkwood Behavioral Health System (a UHS facility) in Desoto County, MS, is hiring a Registered Nurse to join an inpatient unit. The RN provides professional nursing care within a multidisciplinary treatment plan, following the nursing process, and may assume Charge Nurse responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications include graduation from an accredited nursing program, MS RN licensure, CPR, and at least 1 year of psychiatric nursing experience preferred; BSN is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited program of professional nursing.
• RN licensure in Mississippi (or multi-state)
• BSN preferred
• One year psychiatric nursing experience preferred
• Knowledge of general and psychiatric nursing processes and crisis management

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care on a designated unit within the multidisciplinary treatment plan.
• Coordinate and delegate nursing care using the nursing process on the shift.
• Promote professional nursing practice and participate in care of varied populations.
• May assume Charge Nurse responsibilities as required.
