Job summary

DCH Health System is seeking a House Supervisor to supervise and coordinate nursing activities during off-hours, ensuring optimal staffing and patient care continuity across units.

The role requires RN licensure in Alabama with BCLS/ACLS/PALS and at least two years of nursing experience (BSN preferred). Strong leadership, communication, and computer skills are essential to support unit managers and staff.

Qualifications

• Current RN Alabama licensure is required.
• BCLS, ACLS and PALS are required; if not current, must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
• A minimum of two years nursing experience is required, BSN preferred.
• Must have competence in patient care management, leadership, and computer skills.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to direct a team.

Responsibilities

• Allocates nursing resources efficiently to meet patient care needs.
• Maintains central staffing records and daily staffing sheets.
• Reassigns staff, calls in additional staff or cancels staff as appropriate.
• Maintains documentation of staffing changes and uses the nursing process in care delivery.
• Serves as the after-hours contact for supplies retrieval and policy implementation.
• Completes annual performance evaluations and participates in PI activities.
