Job summary

St. Luke’s University Health Network is seeking a Hospital Supervisor to serve as the on-site administrative liaison in the absence of department heads. The role provides broad supervision, guidance and decision-making support across departments to maintain high standards of patient care.

Responsibilities include coordinating staffing, acting as Incident Commander for disasters, and ensuring policy compliance while maintaining clear communication with Administrators-On-Call across the network.

Qualifications

• Registered nurse with BSN within 5 years of hire date.
• MSN equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates competency in assessment, treatment planning, and development appropriate to patient age.
• Confers with the Administrator-On-Call on administrative matters at the facility.
• Acts as an operational resource in decision making during crises affecting patient care or plant operations.
• Functions as Incident Commander for disaster-type events and supports senior administration.
• Exhibits leadership and makes staff-related decisions in the absence of the unit manager.
• Facilitates interdepartmental problem solving and communication.
• Liaises with departments across the Network, interpreting policies and facilitating resources.
• Coordinates obtaining and releasing equipment/supplies to other facilities.
• Ensures adherence to the established chain of command for work problems.
• Develops, evaluates, and adjusts staffing based on patient care needs.

ACLS

Computer literate

Bilingual (preferred)

Education
