Job summary

St. Luke’s Hospital in Missouri is seeking a House Supervisor to lead the Nursing Department on the designated shift, directing hospital-wide nursing activities and ensuring adherence to nursing standards.

The role emphasizes promoting teamwork, applying hospital policies, and maintaining standards that support patient safety and quality care in line with St. Luke’s mission.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
  • Minimum of three years of recent nursing experience during which administrative and supervisor competence has been demonstrated.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Missouri

Responsibilities

  • Manage the Nursing Department on the designated shift and supervise hospital-wide nursing activities.
  • Make administrative decisions utilizing knowledge of hospital policies and nursing standards.
  • Promote teamwork with all members of the healthcare team and ensure compliance with Standards of Nursing Practice.

Position Summary:

The House Supervisor responsibilities include the management of the Nursing Department and the direction and supervision of hospital wide nursing activities on his/her designated shift. Administrative decisions utilizing knowledge of hospital policies and nursing standards. Knowledge regarding social, economic and legal issues affecting the healthcare System. Seeks opportunities for keeping up-to-date in healthcare practices Develops, directs, implements and ensures compliance with Standards of Nursing Practice that promote optimal healthcare delivery.Meets the Joint Commission Standards for Nursing. Responsible for promoting teamwork with all members of the healthcare team. Performs all duties in a manner consistent with St. Luke’s mission and values.

Education, Experience, & Licensing Requirements:

Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.

Experience: A minimum of three years of recent nursing experience during which administrative and supervisor competence has been demonstrated. One year management experience preferred.

Licensure: Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Missouri
