Job summary

Maxim Healthcare in Orland Park is seeking a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse to support a pediatric patient in the home setting in Homer Glen, IL. The role includes full nursing responsibilities in a home health environment and requires an active RN license or equivalent.

Schedule: Sunday, Monday & Tuesday 7am-7pm. Competitive hourly pay and comprehensive benefits are offered by Maxim Healthcare. Prior home health or pediatric care experience is valued.

Qualifications

• Current RN license for the state in which the nurse practices.
• Current Health Certificate (per facility contract or state regulation).
• Current PPD or Chest X-Ray.
• Current BLS card.
• One year prior RN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care for clients receiving contracted services.
• Initiates the plan of care when directed and requests revisions as patient status changes.
• Incorporates therapeutic, preventive, and rehabilitative nursing actions based on diagnosis and goals.
• Intervenes in response to changes in patient condition and reports to physician or supervisor.
• Administers medications and treatments as prescribed and documents effectiveness.
• Reviews plan of care and identifies needs for healthcare teaching, care coordination, and discharge planning.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient/client care and/or services provided to client(s) receiving contracted services, as required
• Initiates the plan of care when directed and requests from prescriber any necessary revisions as patient status and needs change
• Incorporates therapeutic, preventive, and rehabilitative nursing actions based on patient diagnosis and established goals
• Intervenes as applicable in response to changes in patient/client condition and reports such changes to appropriate physician or supervisor
• Administers medications and treatments as prescribed, as well as, monitors and documents effectiveness of intervention
• Reviews plan of care and program protocols and identifies areas for healthcare teaching/education, care coordination, goal setting and discharge planning needs, as applicable

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) License for the state in which the nurse practices.
• Current Health Certificate (per facility Registered Nurse (RN) contract or state regulation).
• Current PPD or Chest X-Ray.
