Job summary

Maxim Healthcare is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) to support a pediatric patient in a home setting in Forest Park, IL 60130. Choose Day shifts (Mon-Fri, 8am–4pm) or Night shifts (Mon-Fri, 10pm–6am) with a pay rate of $34–$40 per hour.

Qualifications

• Currently licensed as an LPN/LVN or RN in the state of practice.
• Current TB or Chest X-Ray.
• Current BLS card.
• One year prior professional nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• On each assignment, provide skilled nursing care/services in accordance with prescribed orders.
• Assess signs and symptoms indicating physiologic and psychosocial changes in the patient’s condition.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret data and information from health care members and document actual and/or potential nursing diagnoses.
• Administrates medications and treatments as prescribed, monitors effectiveness, and progress toward goals.
• Intervenes as applicable to changes in condition and reports to supervisor/physician.
• Documents all physician collaboration/coordination of care in the medical record.

• Monitors the safety and effectiveness of the environment and equipment including universal precautions

Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Active RN License or Active LPN License
• Current CPR
• PPD or chest X ray if applicable
