Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health in Temple, TX is seeking Registered Nurses to join the 8 North Telemetry unit in the Oncology/Hematology section. This 38-bed unit offers care for adults to geriatrics, with services including medical oncology, high-dose chemotherapy, CAR T therapy, and radiation therapy administration.

As part of a large not-for-profit health system, you’ll contribute to exceptional patient outcomes, engage in continuous education, and participate in a supportive governance model

Qualifications

• Grad of an Accredited Program.
• Specialized field of study should be nursing.
• RN license.
• Must have BLS certification or get it within 30 days of starting in this role.

Responsibilities

• Work on the 8 North Telemetry Monitored Nursing Unit with adults to geriatrics.
• Administer chemotherapy, biotherapy, and monoclonal antibodies; participate in high-dose chemotherapy with autologous stem cell transplant.
• Support oncology/hematology care, including surgical and gynecologic oncology and radiation therapy administration.

This 38-bed Telemetry Monitored Nursing Unit Provides The Opportunity To Work With a Wide Variety Of Patients Ranging In Age From Adults To Geriatrics. The Conditions That Are Within The Scope Of Service For 8 North Include But Are Not Limited To The Following:

• Medical Oncology
• High Dose Chemotherapy with Autologous Stem Cell Transplant
• CAR T Cell Therapy
• Administration of Chemotherapy, Biotherapy, and Monoclonal Antibodies
• Surgical Oncology
• Gynecologic Oncology
• Administration of Radiation Therapy
• Hematologic Disorders (Sickle Cell Crisis, Aplastic Anemia, Thalassemia, Thrombocytopenia)
• Continuous Cardiac Monitoring (Telemetry)
