Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Memorial Hospital in Temple, TX is seeking Registered Nurses for an Oncology/Hematology Telemetry unit. The 38-bed unit offers care ranging from adults to geriatrics, including chemotherapy and CAR T therapies, with a strong emphasis on patient outcomes and safety.

Qualifications

• RN license required.
• BLS certification required or obtain within 30 days of start.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care on a Telemetry Monitored Unit (8 North) for adult to geriatric patients.
• Administer chemotherapy, biotherapy, and monoclonal antibodies as prescribed.
• Collaborate with oncology/hematology team to monitor and respond to patient needs.

This 38-bed Telemetry Monitored Nursing Unit Provides The Opportunity To Work With a Wide Variety Of Patients Ranging In Age From Adults To Geriatrics. The Conditions That Are Within The Scope Of Service For 8 North Include But Are Not Limited To The Following:

• Medical Oncology
• High Dose Chemotherapy with Autologous Stem Cell Transplant
• CAR T Cell Therapy
• Administration of Chemotherapy, Biotherapy, and Monoclonal Antibodies
• Surgical Oncology
• Gynecologic Oncology
• Administration of Radiation Therapy
• Hematologic Disorders (Sickle Cell Crisis, Aplastic Anemia, Thalassemia, Thrombocytopenia)
• Continuous Cardiac Monitoring (Telemetry)
