Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking Registered Nurses for Temple, TX. The role is on an Oncology/Hematology Telemetry unit (8 North) with responsibilities including administration of chemotherapy and coordination of multidisciplinary care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Specialized field of study should be nursing.
• RN license.
• BLS certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of starting in this role.

Responsibilities

• Provide care on the Telemetry Monitored Nursing Unit (8 North) for adults to geriatrics.
• Administer chemotherapy, biotherapy and monoclonal antibodies.
• Support Oncology/Hematology services including surgical oncology, gynecologic oncology and radiation therapy coordination.

Why Oncology/Hematology?

This 38-bed Telemetry Monitored Nursing Unit Provides The Opportunity To Work With a Wide Variety Of Patients Ranging In Age From Adults To Geriatrics. The Conditions That Are Within The Scope Of Service For 8 North Include But Are Not Limited To The Following:

• Medical Oncology
• High Dose Chemotherapy with Autologous Stem Cell Transplant
• CAR T Cell Therapy
• Administration of Chemotherapy, Biotherapy, and Monoclonal Antibodies
• Surgical Oncology
• Gynecologic Oncology
• Administration of Radiation Therapy
• Hematologic Disorders (Sickle Cell Crisis, Aplastic Anemia, Thalassemia, Thrombocytopenia)
• Continuous Cardiac Monitoring (Telemetry)
