Impact Recruiting Solutions is seeking an RN Health Care Facility Surveyor for a Quality Improvement Consulting Company. The role supports internal and external customers nationwide in a technically engaging environment.

Responsibilities

The position is 100% remote with up to 75% travel. The Surveyor will serve as a team member or leader on various surveys (re-certification, comparative, complaint investigation, revisits) across long-term care and other healthcare facilities, including ambulatory surgical centers, ICFs/IID, ESRD, PRTF, hospitals, and hospices. The role involves:

  • Conducting on-site surveys to assess compliance with federal regulations
  • Preparing for surveys, observing care, reviewing records, interviewing staff and families
  • Evaluating the healthcare facility's quality of care, patient rights, and physical environment
  • Communicating deficiencies to facility personnel and during exit conferences
  • Determining acceptability of correction plans
  • Conducting follow-up and monitoring surveys
  • Training and participating in work groups as needed
Requirements
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in nursing
  • Completion of CMS's Long-Term Care Basic Training and passing SMQT
  • At least two years of recent surveyor experience in long-term care facilities
  • Current RN licensure
  • Strong decision-making skills and ability to manage survey processes independently
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and collaborate effectively
  • Willingness to travel up to 75% regularly
