Job summary

UAB Medicine seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for the Behavioral Health - Geri/Psych unit at UAB St. Vincent's East.

The position involves providing direct patient care to adult and geriatric behavioral health patients on 12-hour night shifts (7:00 pm–7:00 am) within a team-based care model. Requires a nursing diploma and current Alabama RN license; BLS certification within 30 days of hire is mandatory.

Qualifications

• Current BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• Diploma from an accredited school of nursing and active licensure.
• Ability to perform bio-psychosocial assessments and plan care.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial and ongoing bio-psychosocial assessments per nursing standards.
• Participate in treatment conferences to plan goals and interventions.
• Implement and co-lead nursing plans and group therapy sessions.
• Evaluate response to interventions and adjust care with the team.
