Job summary

UAB Medicine is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care in the Behavioral Health - Geri program at UAB St. Vincent's East. The role involves 3 twelve-hour night shifts per week, delivering patient-centered care to adult and geriatric patients in a structured, team-based environment.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider within 1 month of hire date (30 days) required.
• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing and active licensure at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to behavioral health patients per facility policies.
• Perform initial and ongoing bio-psychosocial assessments.
• Participate in treatment team conferences to plan and revise goals and interventions.
• Implement nursing plan of care and co-lead group therapy sessions.
• Evaluate patient responses and adjust care plans in collaboration with the treatment team.
