Job summary

UAB Medicine is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Behavioral Health - Geri Psych unit at UAB St. Vincent's East.

This full-time night-shift role involves 3 12-hour shifts per week from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am, providing direct patient care to adults and geriatrics in a structured, team-based environment. Responsibilities include comprehensive bio-psychosocial assessments, developing and adjusting the plan of care, and participating in daily treatment team conferences.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire date or transfer date.
• Licensed Associate Professional Registered Nurse credentialed from the Alabama Board of Nursing before hire date.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to behavioral health patients per facility policies.
• Perform initial and ongoing bio-psychosocial assessments and develop a nursing care plan.
• Participate in treatment team conferences to plan and revise goals and interventions.
• Lead or co-lead group therapy sessions and evaluate patient responses to interventions.
