Job summary

Atrium Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for our 36-bed General Surgery/Trauma Step-Down Unit. You will deliver patient-centered nursing care, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and support evidence-based practices in a fast-paced environment.

This full-time role requires BLS certification, an RN license, and BSN as preferred. Expect a comprehensive orientation of 6–8 weeks and opportunities for professional growth within Atrium Health.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active RN license with privileges to practice in the state(s) where providing services.
• BLS certification.
• Typically requires 1 year of clinical nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils, governance, and quality initiatives to improve care processes.
• Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate nursing care.
• Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans, and collaborates with the care team.
• Upholds and promotes a culture of safety.
• Maintains accurate, timely EHR documentation.
• May float to other units or facilities within the service area.
