Job summary

Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis, MO is seeking an RN for General Surgery 3W. The role requires providing patient care using the nursing process, coordinating with departments, and maintaining patient rights and confidentiality.

Minimum 2 years of patient care experience and an active RN license are required. The position is full-time (36 hours/week) with a night shift (7:00 PM–7:00 AM) at Mercy Hospital South. BLS is required within 30 days of hire; a BSN is preferred.

Qualifications

Position Details

Location: Mercy Hospital South - 10010 Kennerly Rd, St. Louis, Missouri 63128

Schedule: Full-time | 36 hours/week

Shift: Days 7:00pm - 7:00am

Qualifications

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.

Licensure

• Responsible for obtaining and maintaining a current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure where nursing duties are performed.
• Must meet all state board of nursing requirements.

Certification

• Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or completion within 30 days of hire.

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of patient care experience required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Supervisor experience preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Prolonged standing and walking during shifts.
• Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
