Job summary

Duke Regional Hospital in Durham, NC seeks an RN to join a 40-bed General Medicine Step-down unit. The role involves providing patient-centered nursing care, coordinating with the healthcare team, and upholding Duke Health standards on a Magnet-designated system.

Three 12-hour night shifts per week (7 PM–7 AM) with a $15,000 commitment bonus for eligible RNs; new hires participate in the Nurse Residency Program and must hold a BSN with NC RN licensure.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited BSN program.
• Current North Carolina RN licensure is required.
• BLS certification required.
• Participation in the Nurse Residency Program for new grads is expected.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care to patients per nursing plan and physician orders.
• Collaborate with the health care team to coordinate care, discharge planning and patient education.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
