Job summary

Duke Regional Hospital in Durham, NC is seeking a Registered Nurse for the General Medicine Step-down unit. This 40-bed unit combines intermediate and progressive care with a variety of patient types, including surgery, neurology, palliative care, and inpatient hospice.

This full-time night-shift position (three 12-hour shifts, 7p–7a) offers the DUHS Nurse Residency Program and a commitment bonus up to $15,000 for RNs with 1+ year experience, subject to eligibility.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited BSN program.
• Current RN licensure in North Carolina (or compact).
• BLS certification required; Nurse Residency participation encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Plan, provide and document professional nursing care per care plans.
• Delegate tasks and supervise licensed and unlicensed staff.
• Contribute to performance improvement activities and patient care quality.
