Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Float Pool RN for weekend options at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Festus, MO. The role covers ED, ICU, TCU, PCU, and all Med-Surg units, with 36 hours per week during day shifts. Sign-on bonuses of $5,000 for graduates and $10,000 for experienced nurses are highlighted.

This is a patient‑centered position within Mercy's nursing model and standards. Qualifications include graduation from an accredited nursing program and an active RN license (state or compact) with BLS

Qualifications

• Education: Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
• Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the Mercy Nursing Professional Practice Model and nursing process to provide patient care. Coordinates the patients care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patients' rights and confidentiality of patient information. Functions within the scope of nursing preparation and consistent with the established guidelines of nursing practice, the goals of Mercy Health System, the Philosophy of the Sisters of Mercy, the State Nurse Practice Act, the Code of Professional and Business Ethics, and the Co-Worker Code of Conduct.
