UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, TX is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Inpatient Float Pool (Med/Surg). The Float Pool Level 3 RN role provides expert, adaptable nursing care across adult inpatient units, with opportunities to work across medical-surgical, telemetry, oncology, and specialty settings.

The ideal candidate has an accredited nursing program credential, Texas RN license, and BLS/ACLS/NIHSS/CPI certifications, plus 1 year acute med/surg experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited nursing program.
• 1 year of acute med/surg nursing experience.
• Texas RN license; upon hire.
• NCLEX/compact license (NLC) for Texas; upon hire.
• BLS certification; upon hire.
• ACLS certification; upon hire.
• NIHSS certification; upon hire.
• CPI certification within 180 days.
• Preferred: 2 years of nursing experience.

Responsabilités

• Performs and documents physical, psychosocial, and emotional assessments with age-appropriate criteria.
• Anticipates patient/family needs and develops appropriate care plans using assessment data.
• Coordinates interdisciplinary plan of care and communicates with health-care team.
• Prioritizes nursing interventions based on assessment and changes in condition.
• Evaluates interventions and modifies the plan of care as needed.
• Adheres to hospital and Nursing department policies and procedures.
