Job summary

Texas Health Resources Fort Worth is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Resource Float Pool in Med/Surg Tele. This part-time, night-shift position delivers patient care using the Nursing Process, with float coverage across units.

The ideal candidate has a Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree (BSN preferred) and at least 1 year of RN experience, including float pool and Med/Surg/Tele. Licenses include RN, BCLS, ACLS, CPI; readiness to obtain ACLS within 90 days. Strong teamwork expected.

Qualifications

• 1-year experience as a registered nurse or completion of an RN residency program required
• Float Pool experience as well as Med/Surg and Tele experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
• assesses the patient
• plans the care of the patient
• intervenes as appropriate
• evaluates the effectiveness of intervention
• Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
• Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
• Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers

Education

Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred
