Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center is seeking an RN for the ICU Float Pool on night shifts. The role includes cross-unit coverage, thorough assessments, and coordinated care planning with the interdisciplinary team.

A 5k sign-on bonus is offered and a strong benefits package supports health, education, and work-life balance. Qualifications include a nursing degree, Texas RN license, and BLS/ACLS; NIHSS and CPI are preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited nursing program.
• 2 years of critical care nursing experience (preferred).
• Active Texas RN license or NLC equivalent.
• BLS and ACLS required on hire.
• NIHSS and CPI certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs and documents comprehensive nursing assessments.
• Develops, implements, and revises patient care plans.
• Collaborates with health care team to deliver safe, effective care.
• Maintains accurate documentation and communicates changes in condition.
• Prioritizes interventions based on assessment and plan of care.
• Ensures compliance with policies and standards of nursing practice.
